Classification of user in Risk Awareness Assessment

Retail Customer
You are an individual who does not meet the criteria for Accredited or Institutional Investors.
→ You will be required to complete a short Risk Awareness Assessment and must pass it before you can access any digital payment token (DPT) services.

Accredited Investor – Individual
You are an individual who meets any one of the following:
•Your income over the past 12 months exceeded S$300,000 (or equivalent in foreign currency); or 

•Your net personal assets (after deducting liabilities) exceed S$2 million; or
•Your net financial assets (e.g. cash, securities, deposits, net of liabilities) exceed S$1 million; or
•You hold a joint account with an accredited investor, and your dealings are limited to that account.

Accredited Investor – Corporation / Entity
You are a corporation or business entity (e.g. trust, partnership) that meets any one of the following:
•Your net assets exceed S$10 million, based on a recent audited or certified balance sheet (within the preceding 12 months);
•You are wholly owned by one or more persons, all of whom are accredited investors;
•You are a trust where all beneficiaries or settlors qualify as Accredited Investors; or where the subject matter exceeds S$10 million (or equivalent in foreign currency);
•You are a partnership where all partners are Accredited Investors.

Institutional Investor
You are an entity as defined under Section 4A(1)(c) of the Securities and Futures Act 2001, e.g., government entities or statutory boards; central banks; licensed financial institutions; pension funds or collective investment schemes; foreign entities regulated for financial activities by an equivalent regulatory authority or any entity as may such be prescribed.

DPT Service Provider / Foreign Regulated Equivalent
You are a Digital Payment Token (DPT) service provider, or carries on a business of providing the equivalent of a DPT service outside of Singapore and is regulated by a financial regulatory authority. 

We may contact you to verify your selection and request supporting documents for categories other than Retail Customer.
